You couldn’t be a political-science major in the 1980s, as I was, without becoming aware of “The Iron Lady” who at the time was holding one of the most important political positions in the world. As a young woman I came to admire her not as much for her political views – although I do now — as for her leadership principles, and willpower, and wit. It didn’t hurt that she was also the first woman to become British prime minister. My regard for her has only deepened over the decades, as we see how the world has changed, and how no one else like her has come along.”

Celebrating Women’s History Month with CSG Members In celebration of Women’s History Month, CSG asked its female members to submit some of their most influential women in history who have inspired them in their careers and personal lives.
