Following natural disasters and in times of national crisis, America’s private sector steps up to aid the states. We are proud of the herculean efforts of CSG Leadership Circle and Associates, our private sector members, as we together combat COVID-19.
Associates in Action articles highlight CSG Associates’ philanthropic efforts and public-private partnerships throughout the states.
Beyond delivering Americans’ favorite beverages of choice during COVID-19, the National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA), a CSG Associate, and its members are playing an essential, supporting role during the pandemic. Beer distributors have donated trucks, distributed goods and food and financially supported community nonprofits.
“Our members’ generosity is humbling,” said NBWA President & CEO Craig Purser. “Distributors across the U.S. are providing countless examples of creative solutions and servant leadership to their states and communities.”
In Iowa, NBWA member Doll Distribution shored up the food supply chain and partnered with the Iowa Food Bank, a statewide organization, to distribute donations to community food banks. This assistance has helped the organization serve families across the state in this heightened time of need.
Another NBWA member, Kentucky Eagle, offered their distribution expertise and trucks, distributing essential goods across the state. In coordination with Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, Kentucky Eagle hauled pallets of hand sanitizer to front line workers and responders throughout the state.
NBWA member Grey Eagle Distributors teamed up with Essentia water to deliver more than 50,000 bottles of water to healthcare workers, first responders and government workers in St. Louis County, Missouri.
America’s beer distributors are donating more than their trucks, drivers and time. They are also giving money to provide emergency assistance to those in need. NBWA Faust Distributing Company, based in Houston, Texas, donated $50,000 to the local arm of The Salvation Army. This generous donation will help The Salvation Army continue to provide services Houston area residents.
