Innovation Classroom: Civic Health: The role redistricting can play in building a better civic landscape
December 4, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EST
Innovation Classroom session sponsored by Esri.
This session will cover the need for openness, citizen engagement, and transparency in the redistricting process. Over 42 states have incorporated in their constitutions some level of public participation in their redistricting process. If you distill-down the drivers of this movement, it is simple; the public wants to be involved in the redistricting process. This session will focus on two case studies where civic leaders extend the redistricting data and software tools to the public and discuss the civic health benefits they received.
